Remembrance Day at St Joseph’s
Today, our school came together for a special time of worship to remember all those who gave their lives in service of others. It was a solemn and meaningful moment as we paused to reflect, pray, and show our gratitude for the sacrifices made by the fallen.
Each class created a wreath to display on our school cenotaph, and the children approached this with great care and respect. Their thoughtful discussions and quiet reflection showed a deep understanding of why remembrance is so important.
As part of our commemorations, the children also produced beautiful poppy artwork, which has been proudly in Charnock Richard Crematorium to help decorate the space for their own Remembrance events.
We are incredibly proud of how reflective and respectful our pupils were today. Their actions honoured the memory of those who served and reminded us of the importance of peace, hope, and unity.
