Beautiful Butterflies in Astley Class!

It’s been a magical few weeks in Astley Class as we’ve been watching one of nature’s most incredible transformations unfold right before our eyes!

Our tiny caterpillars arrived not long ago, and we’ve been carefully observing them as they munched their way through their food, grew bigger and bigger, and eventually built their cosy chrysalises. Then came the most exciting part – watching them emerge as beautiful butterflies!

We’ve absolutely loved learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly, and it’s been amazing to see it happen in real life. The children have been so curious and enthusiastic, asking brilliant questions and showing great care and respect for our fluttery friends.

Now, as we prepare to release our butterflies into the wild, we do so with a mixture of excitement and pride. What a wonderful experience it has been!
