Fishing Frenzy!

There was something fishy going on at school recently – in the best possible way! Children from Year 2 to Year 5 took part in an exciting fishing workshop with Justin from Off the Scale Outdoor Education. It was a brilliant introduction to the world of angling, and the children absolutely loved it.

During the session, we learnt all about the art of fishing – from the different types of fish and the bait needed to catch them, to the equipment anglers use and how to stay safe near the water. Of course, the highlight for many was learning how to cast – and there were some very impressive efforts on display!

Justin’s passion and knowledge really inspired the children, and it was wonderful to see so many of them engaged, asking questions, and keen to have a go.

Even more exciting, next half-term, our Year 2 children will begin their real fishing lessons with Justin. How amazing is that? We can’t wait to see what they catch – and the memories they make along the way!
