Changes are taking place =D

It has been wonderfully exciting this week watching our caterpillars grow and change. At the moment they are in their cocoon/chrysalis going through an incredible change. We have been researching butterflies this week and we noticed that their wings had lots of colour and patterns and that they were the same on both side, this led us to discuss symmetry so we were able to create our own symmetrical butterflies.

I have been blown away this week in literacy by some of the incredible writing I have seen! After a couple of weeks exploring ‘The very hungry caterpillar’ we felt ready to write the story ourselves and so we did, it was fantastic!

What time is it Mr Wolf? 7 o’clock. After maths this week we have a much better idea of what 7 o’clock looks like and what we might be doing at 7 o’clock. I have noticed a few analogue watches in class this week which is wonderfully helpful when we are learning about time.

Enjoy the long weekend everyone and please remember that the school is closed on Thursday 5th for a staff training day.
