As well as intensive Christmas performance rehearsals this week, Rivington class have been continuing with their work on Victorian transportation, creating another page with another working mechanism for their pop-up books. After studying the life of a Victorian navvy; the work they did, the risks they tool, their living standards, the children recorded an account of the day in the life of a navvy using the I pad app; FMM. The app allows the user to use a background picture of a navvy but substitutes the navvies mouth with the mouth of the child and allows them to speak as the navvy to describe their day. The results are a little strange but nevertheless good! Check them out below. Also, take a look at the latest page on canals from our Victorian pop-up book.
