A trip to Blackpool zoo…

We are feeling very lucky this week in Astley class! Our school kindly paid for us all to go to Blackpool Zoo,  so off we went to spot some African animals.

We had a fantastic day out despite it being incredibly hot, and all the children where beautifully behaved. We started the day at the Sea Lion show where we watched two brilliant Sea Lions perform lots of tricks, it was amazing! Then we went on the hunt for some African animals and spotted Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Gorillas, Meercats and Lemurs who were very friendly! We also saw Penguins, Snakes, Turtles, Tortoises, Fish, Peacocks, Parrots and Lizards.

We ended are day with a walk through the Dinosaur Safari, some of us were a little nervous especially when the Dinosaurs started to roar but it was lots of fun!!
