Our long-awaited trim trail is now under construction so some of our school councillors were invited to cast a keen eye over the workshop of RE:PLAY to see how progress was coming along...they even got to test out some of the equipment!

Carpenters Craig and James guided them around the workshop and talked them through each stage; cutting the wood to size, construction, sanding, treating and personalisation. They learnt about the specific types of wood used for outdoor play equipment (Scandinavian Red Wood if you're wondering!) and got to take samples of the wood back to share with the rest of our school councillors.

They now have the task of designing the personalised carving for our story chair, which we will then send back to Craig.

We can't to see the final trim trail in place!
