Do you know the difference between warp and weft?

We do. Because the Vikings couldn’t just nip to the nearest Tesco to get their clothes, they had to make their own and this meant weaving cloth. This week we have had a try at weaving our own cloth on our very own mini looms. Some of us were naturals at it. We have also been undertaking lots of research online to find out more about Viking daily life. Did you know that the Viking used to share their house with their animals? Can you imagine sleeping in the same room as a pig.

Friday saw an unusual yellow orb appear in the sky so we used the opportunity to get out and about around the school and church grounds on the hunt for signs of spring. We even saw a ladybird!
