Germs, what germs? I can’t see them!

This week Astley class discovered that even though we may not be able to see germs they are all around us and spread very easily. We investigated this using glitter, one child put their hand in the glitter and we pretended the glitter was lots of germs. Then they began touching other people’s hands and the glitter spread onto their hands. Soon enough we were all covered in germs (glitter), it’s a good job we also learnt how to wash our hands properly to get rid of all those nasty germs. Once our hands were germ free it was safe for us to begin preparing a healthy fruit salad, it was delicious and most importantly very good for us.

Can you teach your mums, dads, or younger brothers and sisters how to wash their hands properly?
