Film Stars of The Future!!!

In Rivington this week, we have working with our talk partners to think of space vocabulary to describe our planets.  Do you know what a DE :DE sentence is or a ‘The more, …the more… sentence is?  Well, we have also been learning to use these different types of sentences in our writing.  Ask the children and they will be able to tell you what they are.  They are also becoming experts at using commas and relative clauses!!!

 

During our maths lessons we have been using different methods of working out in order to solve addition and subtraction problems.  We always remember to ask ourselves:-

Can we work it out in our heads?

Do we need to make some jottings?

Do we need to use a formal written method?

 

Film Stars of The Future!!!

Do you know how to use green screen technology?  In Rivington Class, we have had a go at filming this week.  We watched a video clip about the sun, the earth, day and night and then in groups we had to write a script and film a demonstration to explain how we have night and day.  It’s quite difficult to remember our words and perform at the same time but here are our first attempts.

 

Next week we will do some more research and we will refine and correct our scripts before we film Take 2!
