Lights…Camera…Action!
Lights…Camera…Action!
This week, Yarrow class were transformed into a hive of budding film makers. We worked with a local film company to produce our film for the IntoFilm competition, where our film could be shown on the International Space Station!
We began by creating a storyboard of our film idea. Following this, we split into different groups with a group developing the script and the other group working out the type of camera shots we wanted to shoot for each scene. After this, our prop department (ably assisted by Mr. Maloney and Mrs. Rennison) kicked into action, creating a mysterious alien.
On the second day, we shot lots of the mission control scenes in Mr. Roden’s space-themed classroom and our main actors used our new green screen to transport themselves into space.
The final day mainly involved editing and trimming down all of the different clips as our film could be no longer than 3 minutes!
The children threw themselves into the project and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Who knows…we might have the next Spielberg in our mists!
Keep your eyes peeled as we are in the final stages of planning the grand premiere of our film!
