So many things have happened this week but at the top of the list has been lots of practice for our Christmas play. Lots of singing and lots of drama. In between practices we have been finding out exactly what Stone Age people ate and how they would have cooked it. Molly brought in a piece of flint and Mrs Crowther showed us how they would have used it to makes sparks for a fire. We know that Stone Age people were hunter gatherer which meant the both killed and found their own food. Next week we are going to have a try at some of the foods they would have eaten.
In our literacy work we have been reading a whole host of Christmas stories and letters, looking out for good language that we could magpie for our own writing. We have also begun to think about persuasive writing and how we can convince Father Christmas we should be on the nice list. We used some of the language to have a go at persuading our friends about which was our favourite football team, why we should be allowed to go first in a game and why salt and vinegar crisps are better than cheese and onion. Take a look at our video Izzy persuading us that salt and vinegar are the best crisps.
