Meet our school council!

At St Joseph's our school council play an important role in shaping and leading our school community. The school council is made up of two pupils from years 2, 3, 4 and 5 and four pupils from year 6. Our Year 6 councillors hold the important roles of chair, vice-chair, treasurer and secretary.
Classes hold an election each year to select their councillors that will represent their views and ideas in meetings.
The school council meet up regularly with Mrs. Sharrock to discuss school affairs and how they can improve the school. They take their role very seriously, ensuring that each class has a 'Speak for School' box for any ideas or concerns and so that every child's voice can be heard.
The children also help to organise various events for the whole school. Our school council are very passionate about raising money for different charities, organising lots of fantastic fundraisers throughout the year!
