Eco School

The Eco Council have been doing several works on saving water and have been using equipments that can help save water.First of all we have been using bowls that you can put in your sink. The qualities of this bowl is that it can save Litres if water,which can help you save money because when you put this in your sink you can save water by turning on your tap and then all the unused water will be in the bowl which you can use for e.g Gardens.

One of the other equipments we have been using is the hippo floats.It can help you save water in your toilet.This is how you use it. You put this float in your toilet and then you flush it. It can save 2-3 litres of water and it will minimise your water bills and the water that is left in the hippo will be saved.

Sensory Garden!

The Sensory garden is a wonderful and magical place to relax,flower beds,plants and trees make the garden look more bright and colourful!

Also there is a quiet area for a class teacher or her/his pupils to read calmly in a peaceful environment.

Mr Clarkson and a few of his workers have helped to put in some astro turf and to put in beautiful stone path leading up to huge tree in its centre!

Finally I would like to mention that the Sensory Garden can now be seen outside class 5&6 near where the juniors are collected. Next time you visit our school (St.Joseph) we hope you get the chance to enjoy the Sensory Garden as much we do!
