Good Vibrations!

This week in Birkacre we have started our new Science topic on Sound.

Thursday afternoon found us making, listening to and observing vibrations. We now know that all sound is made by producing vibrations which are carried through the air on sound waves.

We set up some vibrating sound stations to investigate and find out if this was true.

The most popular one was when we struck a triangle and placed it in water, we could see the vibrations rippling the water and it made the water hum!!
